Federated BIM model, mixed-use development

Systematized BIM services in Antwerp.

Production, coordination and governance to ISO 19650, delivered as a full BIM team for consultants, contractors and developers. No internal hire, no management overhead.

On industrial and port work, errors cost steel. We find them in the model.

Terminals, process plants and dense building services share one requirement: models that survive contact with fabrication. Engineering-grade coordination across structure, MEP and civils from 260+ engineers, checked before anyone commits steel.

Eight capabilities, buildings and civils

One team and one QA standard across buildings, infrastructure and industrial assets, so your scope never splits between vendors.

  • 3D BIM modelling

Revit, Civil 3D and Navisworks production across buildings and civils, modelled to the tolerances fabrication requires.

  • Revit family creation

Custom content for industrial and building work alike, from process equipment to architectural components, built to your LOD specification.

  • 4D, 5D and 6D simulation

4D construction logic for multi-modal sites, 5D quantities for engineering-heavy budgets, and 6D data for industrial operations.

  • Shop drawings & detailing

Shop and fabrication drawings coordinated against the federated model, at the detail your steelwork and MEP contractors install from.

  • Scan to BIM

Industrial scan to BIM: existing plants, terminals and port structures converted into accurate as-built models.

  • CAD to BIM conversion

Decades of industrial 2D archives rebuilt into coordinated models, recovering asset knowledge that lived only on paper.

  • BIM for facility management

Asset data structured for industrial FM regimes, where downtime costs make information quality an operational metric.

  • Quantity take-off & BOQ

Quantity take-off from the model for steel, services and civils, traceable from BOQ line to element.

Three sets of eyes before it leaves.

Every JES deliverable moves through a fixed Author-Checker-Approver gate, tracked in the CDE. The same standard whether it's engineer 3 or engineer 250.

Author
Model and documentation produced to the MIDP task card. Self-review against the project QA checklist before submission.
Status: WIP
Checker
Independent review against the BEP and federated model. Defects logged, deviation report returned to Author.
Output: Deviation report
Approver
Signed off against EIR and LOIN. Promoted from WIP to Shared or Published in the CDE.
Status: Published

On engineering-heavy work the failure modes are expensive by default: fabrication clashes, rework cut in steel, record models that contradict the asset. On JES projects every file passes its Author-Checker-Approver gate before fabrication depends on it, and the record travels with the file.

Delivered on engineering-heavy scopes

Metro, airport and waterfront infrastructure coordinated to ISO 19650 in the Gulf. Engineering-dense work is the core of the portfolio; test the method on a zero-cost pilot.

Common questions about BIM in Antwerp

Both. JES produces the multidiscipline models and coordination, and governs the standards: BEP, CDE and the Author-Checker-Approver gate on every file, tracked in ERP. On process-plant and port work you get production and governance from one accountable team, not a consultancy that advises alongside a shop that draws.

Yes. We embed as your outsourced BIM team under one delivery lead on petrochemical, pipe-rack and quayside packages, coordinated across structure, MEP, process and civils to ISO 19650. Capacity scales with the programme rather than a permanent bench, and every clash is caught in the model before a fabricator commits pipe or steel.

Yes. Our BIM consultants embed in your delivery, coordinate structure, process piping and civils to ISO 19650, and hold the dense data a chemical-cluster asset generates through the CDE. One named lead stays accountable across the programme, so on plant work the interference between pipe racks and structure surfaces in review, not during erection.

Yes. We run industrial scan to point cloud to record model on operating plants, tank farms and quayside structures, rebuilding a live asset as a dependable record. Every discipline coordinates against that verified base, so a tie-in or debottlenecking scheme designs against the plant as it actually runs rather than the original drawings.

Architectural, structural, process and MEP. We author them in Revit and federate them in Navisworks on regular clash cycles for pipe-dense, tolerance-critical work. Every file is authored, checked and approved against the BEP before fabrication depends on it, so a spool or a rack clash is caught in the model rather than at the shutdown.

Cost follows scope, disciplines, the LOD you need and programme length, and on process-heavy scopes pipe runs and equipment counts drive it, so we price each engagement to the work rather than a flat day rate. A process plant carries more than a single warehouse. Test the method first on a zero-cost pilot for one package.
